High temperatures are absolutely crucial in asphalt construction. With Magmalife, BOMAG have redefined screed heating. All the heating rods are cast into one aluminium block. Because of the metal’s excellent thermal conductivity, the heat-up time is significantly shorter, so the paver and team are ready for operation more quickly.

EVERY OPERATION SAVES COSTS

The heating rods cast in aluminium not only ensure rapid heating and homogeneous heat distribution, but Magmalife also pays off in terms of the service life of the heating elements. Magmalife excels on site with its long service life. The embedded heating elements resist the most adverse conditions, whether from vibration impacts or corrosion. The electrically heated screed side plates not only prevent bitumen sticking to them when cold, but also prevent unwanted marks in the asphalt saving on expensive rework. This extends the screed’s service life considerably, thus reducing maintenance costs. The interval for replacing the heating elements is increased from one to two years.
